Well this tournament turned out to be quite a bit better than last weekend! I sure had loads of fun and learned a lot about how to debate. Here is how my rounds went:
- Win – My opponent had written his cases on the wrong topic, so I kinda won by default
- Loss – My opponent ended up getting 2nd place in the entire tourney. Judge thought I could have won had I been just a tiny bit more prepared
- Win – Greatest debate I’ve had thus far; destroyed my opponent and had a good time doing it =D
- Loss – My opponent this time ended up at 3rd; he was very good and had protected arguments
So the entire tournament went well and I made it to semi-finals, where I lost. Oh well at least I was able to see improvement in myself.
I wasn’t able to speak my oratory, due to the fact that if you are in debate, you aren’t allowed to cross-enter (at least that’s how it was for this tournament).
