The MTM Power Rangers!

Well while in camp over the past week, I was the blue power ranger. After I take off my grey jacket, I am in a dark blue shirt. It was just a little thing we did just for fun, and I am not gonna try to tie in a lesson. Enjoy!

Is File-Sharing a Sin?

A friend of mine is a frequent user of Limewire, surely you have hear of it. I’ve been trying to convince him that it’s a sin to download songs/movies without paying for them.

To take something that someone else has bought and use it like you bought it (without actually buying it) is stealing.
“Thou shall not steal”

That same buddy of mine who uses Limewire tried to justify it by saying that each CD (using music as an example) can be duplicated 3-5 times depending on the record studio.

Though that is many times true, that is for the same household. If I took a Relient K CD that I just bought, and sent all the music to you for you to put on your computer/ipod/cd, that would be in violation of the law, which is still stealing.

I don’t hear about many people getting in trouble for using programs like Limewire, but does that make it OK? Most definitely not! But what do you think?

Be Gone for a short while

Well I will be gone for the next week, and will return Saturday, June 27th.

For the recent spike in visitors, if you comment and it doesn’t automatically show up, that means I’ve gotta approve it. During my leave I will have no access to an internet connection, so sorry if your comment will need approval (keep it clean and it won’t). If you are a regular visit, you shouldn’t need approval.

I’ve got a couple small things that will automatically appear during the week, so check in every once in a while.

Have a good week!

Was Hitler a Christian?

One thing I hear a lot from angry atheists is that Hitler was a Christian, so all Christians must want to kill Jews (maybe not the second part). They use this excuse to show how Christians can’t be trusted and how we are evil!

This short article gives a few quotes made by Hitler concerning Christianity, and none of them are constructive.

10th October, 1941, midday: Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure.

10th October, 1941, midday: "Christianity is a rebellion against natural law, a protest against nature. Taken to its logical extreme, Christianity would mean the systematic cultivation of the human failure."

Here is a quote from a wikianswers page.

“Hitler seeking power, wrote in Mein Kampf“… I am convinced that I am acting as the agent of our Creator. By fighting off the Jews. I am doing the Lord’s work.” Years later, when in power, he quoted those same words in a Reichstag speech in 1938. ” – - “Three years later he informed General Gerhart Engel: “I am now as before a Catholic and will always remain so.”He never left the church, and the church never left him. Great literature was banned by his church, but his miserable Mien Kampf never appeared on the Index of Forbidden Books.” by; John Patrick Michael Murphy – -

Now anybody can say anything. I can say I am God, but am I? No. Atheists of all people should know when to spot a hypocritical Christian.

Since it’s just word against word now, we gotta look at Hitler’s actions. Does a follower of Christ murder?

1 Peter 4:8
Above all, love each other deeply, because love covers over a multitude of sins.

Saying, “I am murdering for Christ,” doesn’t work. Christian =/= murderer. It’s really not hard to discover that Hitler was not a follower of Christ based on his actions.

Evidence of Adam… Must Be Evolution!

Well scientists now discovered that there was a single man at one point in time.

In new genetic studies of modern human origins, scientists think they have found strong evidence that there was an ancestral “Adam” about 188,000 years ago to go with the previously discovered “Eve.”

The scientists used certain male-specific segments of the Y chromosome, the chromosome passed from father to son, to trace the common ancestor of every man now on earth to that period. They are reporting the findings today in the journal Nature, which also includes a separate study placing Adam in a more recent time.

They then go on to try to mesh in Evolution into the equation, instead of just admitting that the Bible may be at least somewhat accurate. If there is one thing I’ve learned about hardcore Atheists, it’s that they won’t get even close to admitting the Bible has some tasty meat:

The two could have lived at slightly different times, and it is somewhat misleading to associate them with the biblical Adam and Eve, who were supposedly the ultimate sources of all humans. Rather they were probably two random individuals in the small population of early humans, some of whose genes happen to have persisted in the lottery of procreation while those of their contemporaries failed to survive. *Boldedness Added*

You have heard me say it before, and you will hear it often in the future: we are always trying to run from God. If you don’t see scientists running from God in this example, then you must be running as well.

NT Verses About Homosexuality

I posted a link to the short article I wrote not long ago, Jesus Never Said Anything About Homosexuality on facebook, and got a couple replies from other people I know. Apparently some had misunderstood, and though I mean there were no verses in all the New Testament about homosexuality. I got a couple comments with these verses which look down upon homosexuality:

Romans 1:26-27 – “Because of this, God gave them over to shameful lusts. Even their women exchanged natural relations for unnatural ones. In the same way the men also abandoned natural relations with women and were inflamed with lust for one another. Men committed indecent acts with other men, and received in themselves the due penalty for their perversion.”

1 Corinthians 6:9-10 – “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes norhomosexual offenders nor thieves nor the greedy nor drunkards nor slanderers nor swindlers will inherit the kingdom of God.”

If they hadn’t of misunderstood, I would not have known of these verses yet. I knew there were plenty of verses in the OT about homosexuality, but I didn’t know of many in the NT that talked directly about homosexuals.

Earth May Collide with Another Planet in Billions of Years!

New computer simulations reveal a slight chance that a disruption of planetary orbits could lead to a collision of Earth with Mercury, Mars or Venus in the next few billion years.

http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,525706,00.html

It’s a good thing I have Jesus, and know how the world is going to end. If I didn’t, I would really have to worry about my great(x508)grandkids, which would hopefully have evolved enough to fly off Earth by then (that’s a joke).

Now I don’t question their math, but I don’t believe that is how Earth will be destroyed. I actually know (vaguely) how it will happen. It’s all been written down. Actually, about 1/3 of the Bible is end-time prophecy. Must be pretty important for a third of the Bible to be about it.

I am not worried (and probably never will be about these things), and you really shouldn’t be either. God will take care of us. When bad things happen, God will make it good.

For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” – Jeremiah 29:11

Link, I Am Your Father!

On a more personal note than usual, I made my first videos using my wii yesterday and today. You gotta watch them both though!

Update: I replaced the old video, with a newer, better one.

Here is the second, and much better one:

Do any of you make videos for fun? I would love to see them, as long as they are appropriate!
